Fall 2015 North Cascades Events                                                             

 

Excelsior Traverse 20M, 10M
September 19th 2015

 

Only a few miles from the Canadian border lies a remote pairing of ridge trails that provide sweeping vistas of some of Washington’s northernmost peaks: American Border, Larrabee, Shucksan, and Baker. Single or together, the pairing make for an awe inspiring run in the mountains.

Thunder Series 12M, 25M, 42M
September 26th 2015

 

This collection of runs serves up a great selection of the North Cascades trails for runners of all abilities. Starting at various points along the Hwy 20 corridor each course climbs a different mountain pass and descends into the Thunder Creek drainage finishing at the turquoise shores of Diablo Lake.

East Bank Ross Lake 30M
October 10th

 

This 30 mile shoreline course follows the east bank of Ross Lake Reservoir. The trail winds in and out of creek drainages offering up sweeping views of the North Cascades dusted with early season snow fall. At Lightening Creek the trail turns east and climbs up towards Hozomeen, the jagged North Cascade peak shadowing the north end of Ross Lake, the Canadian border, and the finish line.
